Jackrabbit Technologies Recognized for 6th Consecutive Year in UGA’s Bulldog 100

University of Georgia Alumni Association Recognizes Success of Top 100 Graduate-Owned Companies

Jackrabbit Technologies, leading provider of online class  management software for youth activities centers, was recently recognized as the 57th  fastest growing among companies owned or operated by University of Georgia alumni in The 2016 Bulldog 100: Fastest Growing Bulldog Businesses. The University’s Alumni Association hosted the sixth annual Bulldog 100 event honoring entrepreneurial alumni on January 30, 2016 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. This is the 6th  consecutive year that Jackrabbit has been ranked in the list.

“The companies represented at this event have made it there by exhibiting excellence – not just in their region or business sector – but among all types of companies across the country. I’m proud that we continue to produce growth figures that rank us with these superstars,” notes Jackrabbit’s President, Mark Mahoney, who graduated from the Terry School of Business with a BBA in 1983. “The event itself is a great way to meet and learn from others who have passions and goals similar to mine.  We are each entrepreneurs and products of UGA’s educational experience and that brings us together in a powerful way.”

More than 350 nominations were submitted for the 2016 Bulldog 100. To be considered for the program, an organization must have been in business for at least five years, had revenues of $100,000 or more for the calendar year 2012, and be owned or operated by a former UGA student who owns at least 50% of company or is the CEO, President or Managing Partner. The program recognizes the fastest-growing businesses regardless of size by focusing on a three-year growth rate average.

Since its inception in 2010, the Bulldog 100 has recognized 387 companies. Despite a flattening economy, this year’s honorees averaged a compounded growth rate of 35.30% proving that entrepreneurial companies are the heartbeat of the economy. The top 10 companies averaged compounded growth rate of more than 100%. 64 of this year’s 100 companies are returning honorees. The awards recognized 100 companies and the 151 business leaders who have forged their successful paths.

“Our keynote speaker Jeff Dunn, CEO and President of C-Fresh (a division of Campbell Soup Company) and 1980 graduate of UGA, noted that there are three traits unique to high growth companies: leadership determination, purpose-driven mantra, hard-wired disruptive mindset. It’s an honor to be noted as a company demonstrating these traits and to be honored with 99 other UGA-owned companies for accomplishing high growth,” notes Jackrabbit’s President, Mark Mahoney, who graduated from the Terry School of Business with a BBA in 1983.

“By exhibiting excellence among all types of companies across the country, we’ve each earned a spot on this distinguished list. The award program offers me opportunity to meet and learn from others who have passions and goals similar to mine. We are each entrepreneurs and products of UGA’s educational experience and that brings us together in a powerful way.”
